It seems like just yesterday that actor Daniel Craig was driving a new Range Rover Sport to the New York International Auto Show's Red Carpet. Now the clock is ticking down on the release of the updated 2014 model.
Land Rover has promised that the 2014 Range Rover Sport will be better than ever and from the details we already know about the vehicle, we are inclined to agree. Land Rover engineers and designers have managed to drop an entire 800 pounds from this luxury SUV and this has made it better suited for going off-road.
From some spy shots of the interior we know that it will have a very clean and modern setup with lots of leather seating, metal trim and a 5+2 seating arrangement.
As for the underpinnings, the 2014 Range Rover Sport will come standard with a generously sized 3.0-liter V6 engine that can churn out 340 horsepower. For those who really want to be able to cut loose with this athletic SUV there is the option to upgrade to a supercharged V8 which will deliver a jaw-dropping 510 horsepower.
We are expecting the new Range Rover Sport to Join our lineup of new Land Rover vehicles sometime this fall.
