Dating back to 1970, the Range Rover has over a half-century of rich history. What started as the "Road Rover" project evolved into a branch of thriving luxury SUVs with on-road refinement and off-road enjoyment. It took 17 years to arrive in North America, but by 1987, the Range Rover was captivating explorers stateside.  In the first generation, the Range Rover was widely used as a specialist utility vehicle for select services. Range Rover introduced hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants. The fifth generation kicked off in 2022 as the brand's leading model paves the way for an all-electric Range Rover, set to debut soon.
