This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Land Rover Discovery, released in the U.K. in 1989 and the U.S. in 1994. The model has stayed true to its namesake, inspiring adventure and discovery in diverse environments with a design that's optimized for off-roading performance.

As the model celebrates its 25th birthday, the highly-anticipated Land Rover Discovery Sport joins the Discovery family, with an early 2015 release. The model will include a 240 hp, turbocharge 2.0L engine, nine-speed automatic transmission, and four-wheel drive, all standard features, as well as room for seven, and incredible performance and safety technologies.
