During the New York Auto Show, Land Rover ushered in the future of the automotive industry with its space-age Discovery Vision Concept.
The Discovery Vision Concept is loaded with mind-blowing futuristic features that aren't available in any vehicle on the road today. For one, the concept doesn't have door handles as it employs gesture recognition control for the driver to open the doors, turn on the lights and lift the tailgate. Discovery Vision also has lasers for eyes and a transparent hood that allows the SUV to scan and analyze the road ahead.
But, nothing compares to the remote control drive feature that allows drivers to operate the SUV with a smartphone or tablet from outside the car. We promise it's not out of a science fiction movie:
The Discovery Vision Concept is set to be production-ready by 2016. While we count the days, please visit Land Rover Houston North at our Houston, TX dealership to check out a new Land Rover model.
