There’s more and more interest in mixed martial arts of the course of the last few years and our neighbors at Gracie Barra Champions are riding that wave. A lot of fans tend to focus on UFC, especially with characters like Conor McGregor and his upcoming fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. In reality, there’s incredibly talented MMA fighters right in our neighborhood.

Gracie Barra’s program structure was developed by Master Carlos Gracie Jr. to meet the specific learning needs from people of different ages, gender, and levels. If you’re looking to get in shape, learn self-defense, or improve the quality of your life, this is an inspirational training experience right around the corner.

When you think of MMA, you might not realize the neighborhood gym is a family-oriented environment and a perfect place to teach your children to feel safe everyday, building self-confidence and discipline. Often you will see a row of moms training with an infant sleeping next to them and toddlers playing together nearby.

The owner himself, kickboxing Coach Kurt Zettlemoyer believes that Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and martial arts offers a great opportunity for families to stay connected through training together while offering the opportunity for both parents and children to share in the same sport.

You will always catch Professor Andre Santos sparring on the mats, teaching, and drilling techniques with his students. He has trained with numerous World Class Instructors, including spending time with Master Rickson Gracie. He’s a 3rd Degree Black Belt and Certified Gracie Barra Instructor and has been training and teacher for over twenty years.

Amateur MMA fighter Robert Herrera trains for his upcoming fight against Max Lemus on August 19th. He's a kickboxer and a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Coach Zettlemoyer said "He's definitely a focused and well-rounded fighter." He continues to train daily, eat cleain, and stay in shape to be prepared for the next fight whenever he is called. He is definitely someone to keep your eye on in 2017.

Tickets are available to watch Herrera's upcoming fight at http://garciapromotions.com/.

This gorgeous Range Rover has no shortage of space inside for the tallest of punching bags. It's a massive 909-litre trunk, and if you need to put that into perspective, just consider that a VW golf hatchback has 380. Need more room? Flip the back seats down and more than double the storage space to 2,030.

All models get a powered split tailgate with the bottom half folding down, giving you somewhere to sit or an easier way to slide heavier items into the trunk. It also helps with smaller items to not fall out when they roll around during a drive. Best of all, there's a hands free trunk opening feature.

The 2017 Range Rover is tough on the outside and versatile in the inside, like our fighters at Gracie Barra Champions.
