Discovery SUVs are powered by either turbocharged 4-cylinder or inline-6 engines producing between 295 and 355 horsepower. Equipped with standard all-wheel drive and a Terrain Response System, the Discovery is built to conquer surfaces more rugged than ordinary Houston streets. With a max cargo volume of 74 cubic feet, the Discovery provides plenty of room as you leave Houston on a camping trip or you are tossing in the clubs to go golfing at Memorial Park. Discovery Sport

Labeled the Disco by luxury off-roading enthusiasts, the Discovery has a rich history dating back nearly 35 years. With its 1989 debut in the United Kingdom, the Discovery was a means of the SUV lineup branching out from the range of Range Rover models. The Discovery, which came to the United States five years later, provided smaller engines and a lower starting price than Range Rovers to appeal to adventure-minded drivers on a tighter budget. Throughout its second generation spanning from 2004 to 2016, the Discovery was known as the LR3 and the LR4 stateside. Before reverting back to its original nameplate - the Discovery - in 2017, the lineup added the smaller Discovery Sport, joining in 2015. The Discovery has now evolved into its own official brand in 2023, giving this collection of off-road family SUVs its own identity and set of travel traits.
